- Any other information you choose to provide.
Please do not submit confidential, privileged, proprietary, sensitive, or personal information unless CCAI has specifically requested it and provided an appropriate method for submitting it.
Information collected automatically
When you access or use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information about your device and activity, including:
- Internet Protocol address;
- Browser type, device type, and operating system;
- General geographic location derived from an IP address;
- Date and time of access;
- Pages viewed and links selected;
- Referring and exit pages;
- Search queries and interactions with Site features;
- Files viewed or downloaded;
- Session duration and navigation patterns;
- Error, diagnostic, and performance information; and
- Information associated with automated, repeated, unusually intensive, or potentially unauthorized access.

- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, and contractual obligations; and
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We may aggregate or deidentify information so that it cannot reasonably be associated with an individual. We may use and disclose aggregated or deidentified information for research, measurement, reporting, security, and other lawful purposes. We will not attempt to reidentify information that we maintain as deidentified except as permitted by law.
3Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain Site functionality, understand usage, remember preferences, protect the Site, and detect unauthorized access or extraction.
These technologies may include:
- Essential technologies, which support security and basic Site operation;
- Analytics technologies, which help us understand Site traffic, engagement, and downloads; and

CCAI has a legitimate interest in understanding how its publicly available research and Materials are accessed and in protecting them from misuse.
Consistent with our Terms of Use, we may analyze access records and usage patterns to identify:

- Scraping, crawling, harvesting, or bulk downloading;
- Attempts to circumvent access restrictions or rate limits;
- Potential incorporation of the Materials into unauthorized databases, datasets, products, services, or AI systems;
- Removal or alteration of attribution, copyright notices, metadata, or digital identifiers; and
- Other activities that may compromise Site security or violate CCAI's rights.
We may use logs, rate limits, digital identifiers, watermarks, security tools, and related technologies for these purposes. When reasonably necessary, we may preserve and review relevant records, restrict access, contact the user or organization involved, or disclose information to legal advisers, service providers, courts, regulators, or law-enforcement authorities.
Our monitoring does not authorize us to collect or use personal information in violation of applicable law.
5How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information to:
- Vendors and service providers that support hosting, analytics, security, communications, document management, event administration, or other CCAI operations;
- Professional advisers, including attorneys, auditors, insurers, and consultants;
- CCAI personnel, delegates, committees, contractors, or authorized collaborators when reasonably necessary for CCAI's work;
- Government agencies, regulators, courts, law-enforcement authorities, or other parties when required or permitted by law;
- A successor or participating organization in connection with a restructuring, financing, or similar organizational transaction; and
- Other parties at your direction or with your consent.
Service providers may access personal information only to perform services for CCAI and subject to appropriate contractual obligations.
No sale or targeted advertising. CCAI does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. CCAI does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use personal information to display targeted advertising.
6Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to operate the Site, maintain research and organizational records, respond to requests, enforce our Terms of Use, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
Retention periods depend on the nature of the information and the reason it was collected. Unless a longer period is reasonably necessary:
- General Site analytics are retained for one year;
- Security and access logs are retained for 90 days;
- Records associated with suspected misuse or legal claims may be retained through the applicable limitations period and resolution of the matter;
- Contact and correspondence records are retained for three years after the last interaction, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for legal, operational, or recordkeeping purposes; and
- Submissions incorporated into CCAI's work may be retained as part of CCAI's permanent organizational and research records.
We may retain aggregated or deidentified information for a longer period where permitted by law.
7Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information we maintain about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- Request deletion of personal information;
- Obtain a portable copy of certain personal information;
- Know the categories and sources of personal information collected, the purposes for which it is used, and the categories of recipients;
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- Appeal the denial of a privacy request.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
8Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
Some browsers provide a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no universally accepted standard governing these signals, the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
9Legal Bases for Processing
If laws in your jurisdiction require us to identify a legal basis for processing personal information, we rely on one or more of the following:
- Your consent;
- Performance of a contract or steps taken at your request;
- Compliance with a legal obligation;

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

CCAI and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration, or disclosure.
No website, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
12Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. CCAI does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site.
